Our Divine Longing for Justice

December 26, 2023 Hi! Merry Christmas to each and every one! We have just celebrated the birthday of Jesus and we can all rejoice for Christ is with us and He comes with all His blessings of love, peace and happiness.   The fulfillment of joy and peace is in Him. Let us fix our gaze in Him as we talk to Him and listen to and do whatever He tells us today and now and always. Let us now continue talking about our divine longings ( From Broken Gods , Hope, Healing, and the Seven Longings of the Human Heart, Gregory K. Popcak, Ph. D. Ch 2). Wrath, the third of the capital sins Wrath is a distortion of the divine longing for justice .  In this life, the divine longing for justice prompts us to respond to offenses effectively and to restore right order.  Our longing for justice is a heavenly gift.  Jesus says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness” (Mt 5:6).  The divine longing for justice facilitates our divinization by calling us out of ourselves and reminding u

December 19, 2023 Hi! How is each and every one? Wow!  We are already on the third day of Simbang Gabi , our Filipino custom and traditional way of celebrating the nine days before the birth of the child, Jesus.  We are hoping and wishing for a happy, peaceful, blessed birthday of Jesus, the only Begotten Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer. What are you and I going to gift Jesus? We want to love Him with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, all our will, all our body and all our affectivity and to love our neighbor as our self.  Yes!  That is what you and I want to tell the Baby Jesus and what you and I truly want Him to help us in our life on earth. Following is the continuation of the previous post ( From Broken Gods , Hope, Healing, and the Seven Longings of the Human Heart, Gregory K. Popcak, Ph. D. Ch 2). Envy, the second of the capital sins Opus Dei Envy is a distortion of the divine longing for dignity , the desire to have our worth as persons acknowledged

Our Longing for Abundance

December 12, 2023 Hi!  How is each and every one? We have just celebrated last December 8, The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  God planned Mary, His chosen woman, to be the mother of His only begotten Son.  Hence He made sure Mary would be conceived and born immaculate since she is the chosen mother of Jesus.  Theologians have frequently come up with similar reasons to explain in some way the meaning of the abundant graces showered upon Mary and culminating in her assumption to heaven.   They put it this way:   “It was fitting; God could do so; therefore he did.” This is the clearest reason why our Lord granted his Mother, from the very moment of her immaculate conception, all possible privileges.   She was free from the power of Satan.   She is beautiful, tota pulchra , spotless and pure in soul and body. (St. Josemaria, Christ is Passing By , no. 171). December 8 is one of the three days of holyday of obligation that the Church has procl

December 5, 2023 Opus Dei Hi!  How is each and every one?  Goodness! It is December!  We already started the Advent season, joyfully anticipating the birth of Jesus; and more than ever before with a lot of hope for peace in the hearts and minds of persons. Yes, there is hope.  Let us keep our hopes high, God loves you and each one of us tremendously, he delights in each one of us in spite of our defects and weaknesses.  You and I are His children, we belong to the family of God, Jesus is our brother, His mother Mary is also our mother, St. Joseph is also our father. God wants you and me to be happy.   He expects each one of us to reach out to Him and relate with Him, talk to Him in prayer, turn to Him for everything we need. At the same time let us set our minds, hearts, body and soul on the coming birth of Jesus.   Let us keep   our mother Mary accompanied as she ponders the will of God and runs to stay with   her cousin Elizabeth who in her old age is on her sixth month conceivin
